I went for the "whole enchilada" and bought the full Race to Madrid board game! After traveling through Spain this past summer, I love seeing cities like Salamanca, Valladolid, and others on the board! This game is being used 1) in my home with my family to improve our Spanish, 2) with a 2nd grade student that I teach Spanish to, and 3) in my classroom for use during free time. I am definitely getting my money's worth and everyone loves the ease with which they can learn Spanish. This is not just educational, but entertaining as well. This would be a terrific motivator for students who are reluctant to learn a second language! This game should be part of every Spanish classroom! Love it! Clearly, the developers had to put a lot of thought in to this game's design and their effort shows! Thanks, KLOO, for a fantastic product!
Thank you, Kloo!
I bought the Kloo game Race to Madrid for our family. We are all
learning together and we love games so this is a perfect combination
for us. The color coding helps without making the technical grammar to
challenging for my kids (or myself!). We are looking forward to adding
more decks to the game.
The game is perfect for what is aimed. It clearly achieve it's goal which is, familiarity with everyday dictionary and sentence structure. The last is by far the most useful and rare to see in board games. It lacks in areas like variety in word and tenses but that is out of the designer wishes for that game. I would like to see similar games for b2 to c1 level, to aid language learning.
Hello there, I have the french food and drinks Kloo cards and I love them .
They are really easy to follow, you start playing cards, and suddlenly you are talking in other language they are amazing I surely recommend it
I purchased French Card Games and I highly recommend them. My students love to play and they learn without noticing. I also use them to warm up the class.
We are in our 60s and decided to learn a new language as a challenge
to ourselves. Our teacher introduced us to the Spanish game and I
have to say that this is eminently suitable for ALL ages! We bought
one and now plan to buy another for our grandson who has just
started learning Spanish at school. They are an inspired, fun way of
putting together sentences but with a fun, competitive element.
I have recently bought two versions of Kloo - the Learn Italian Games
Combo ,Packs 1 and 2 Race To London - Learn to Speak English Teaching
Resource (ESL, TEFL, TESOL).
The English version I have been using with my young students (ages 10
to 14) and it has proven to be a great tool for consolidating
vocabulary, keeping them focused during lessons and reinforcing a very
common syntax error that Italians struggle with which is where the
adjective belongs in a sentence. I have just downloaded the free
extension packs for future and past tenses and look forward to using
them in future lessons.
The other version in Italian is for personal use. I thought that this
would be a fun game to play as a family, to help us consolidate and
improve our Italian without it feeling like a chore. It can become a
bit competitive though!!
Great service, and even with the vagueries of the Italian postal system, was received in short order. Thank you
I bought the first Kloo game,Catch a Bug, when I began teaching my two children to read. It's simple and easy for them to play. When I began teaching teaching ESL children the next games, Kloo Zoo and Race to London were the perfect progression. There aren't many board games for ESL teaching and these games are fun and aid progress. The option to print off more cards in different tenses was very useful too.
I purchased a KlOO game my first year of teaching to help a small
group of 3rd graders practice reading aloud in their native language
(Spanish). Before this game, students were incredibly shy to begin
reading aloud, but KLOO was a real game changer! These kids got a kick
out of making sentences that were grammatically correct, but sounded
silly like "We ate the delicious cardigan." My kids are hooked. As 5th
graders, the same students will beg to play KLOO. I love this game as
it is something that students can play on their own when they finish
their work in my 3rd-5th grade classes and it continues to build
vocabulary for even beginners. Because I have had to pack this game
back and forth between my two schools, I finally invested in a second
game. KLOO has been worth every penny! I am a huge KLOO fan!
